The total process from first visit to final ride typically takes 6-9 months. The majority of this time is the NJ elevator permit process, which we handle entirely. Once permits are approved, site preparation takes 7-10 days and the Vuelift installation takes 5-7 days.

What's the difference between glass and acrylic models?

Glass models use crystal-clear low-iron silica glass for ultimate clarity with no green hue, and offer 950 lb capacity. Acrylic models use premium clear acrylic panels that exceed code requirements for strength, won't discolor over time, and offer 840 lb capacity. Both provide a spacious, airy ride with spectacular views. The acrylic option is also available in a pitless configuration with a short ground-floor ramp.

No. The Vuelift features an integrated hoistway — the cab and enclosure are a complete self-contained system. There's no separate shaft to build and no deep pit to excavate. Acrylic models can even be installed pitless with a short ground-floor ramp. This dramatically reduces construction time and cost compared to traditional elevators.

The Vuelift requires a 30-amp, 230-volt, single-phase power supply (50/60 Hz). This is a standard residential electrical circuit that our team coordinates as part of the turnkey installation.

The Vuelift operates at approximately 65 dB for standard models and 58-60 dB for the Vuelift Mini — roughly the level of normal conversation. The proven winding drum drive system with aircraft cables provides a smooth, consistent speed regardless of cab load.

Is it safe?

Absolutely. All Vuelift models meet or exceed ASME A17.1 section 5.3 safety guidelines. Standard safety features include emergency battery backup for cab lighting and lowering, manual lowering, emergency alarm and stop switch, electrical circuit overspeed protection, safety brakes, and door interlocks. In a power failure, the elevator safely lowers you to the ground floor.
